Life’s game of Snakes and Ladders

Well it has been a few months since my last blog, and it has been a hell of a journey.

So much has happened in this time, it has been a hell of a roller coaster.  I have been sick a number of times in the past 5 months.  I have had Influenza A to kick it all off back in August. It all started with the launch of this program. Pushing that button literally blew everything up. I had no idea what it would trigger but trigger it did.  Now 5 months later I am in a totally different place and grateful for the journey so far though I have done very little this Christmas due to exhaustion.  I press myself very hard in life and I have extremely high expectations of self which can cause issues all on its own. So I am working in lots of areas to monitor and manage my expectations and so incredibly grateful.

Even this first week of January ended up with the Summer flu, it kicked my ass and put me in bed for 5 days. Laying there and sleeping lots I got plenty of time to think about this program and how to help people the most. It was a great way to lose the 4kg I gained in December. And Yes I gained 4kg over the month of parties and events..  For the first time in my life I did not freak out about gaining a little bit of weight.  I understood why I had gained weight and that I was making a choice to enjoy myself and give myself a free pass for a few weeks. I was still in control which was a totally new experience. As soon as I went back to my usual lifestyle things just settled down and the little bit of weight gain was gone. I have also started at the gym again every day, so I did expect a little bit of a blip on the scale due to muscle gain.

At this stage I am 94.7kg and slowly bouncing around on the final few kilos to the final goal.  I am so happy with where I am at. It has been a bumpy ride but not spooking or panicking is keeping me on track.  s soon as I went back to my usual lifestyle things just settled down and I am back to where I am happy.

There are a few major things which have transformed my journey in the past 6 months or so.  I have moved into a Mediterranean type of diet and it certain suits my body. I feel great and I look great.  Even though I have been sick a lot lately, I still felt good. I know it sounds weird and a total oxymoron, but it is true. I put this down to my vitamin and mineral regime and my clean living program I have been on with Modere.

There is also the healthy alkaline water I am drinking every day, it has been a big change in the house and everyone is feeling better for that including the dogs and cat.  Everyone is drinking more water. I swear my skin has rejuvenated substantially and has more elasticity. I think I look pretty good for 51 and losing over 60kg (140lbs).

As I am so close to my goal and as I keep working through my issues which caused my weight gain, I keep detoxing.

The detox is certainly both emotional and physical, and something no one warns you about!!!  But as I continue to get rid of all that old garbage I have been dragging around for year I keep getting stronger and healthier.

This week marks the launch of our new weekly podcast, its overwhelming and extremely exciting at the same time. It will be up Thursday morning Brisbane time so please check back to listen in.

Until next time, take care and be kind to yourself.
